Ingredients
- 1 cup of cooked and mashed sweet potatoes
- 1/2 cup of cooked and mashed pumpkin
- 1/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup of plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup of peanut butter (make sure it does not contain xylitol)
- 1/4 cup of coconut flour
- 1/4 cup of rolled oats
- 1/4 cup of shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup of chopped parsley
Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed sweet potatoes, pumpkin, applesauce, Greek yogurt, and peanut butter. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Gradually add the coconut flour and rolled oats to the mixture, stirring continuously. The dough should start to come together and become less sticky.
- Fold in the shredded carrots and chopped parsley, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1/4 inch. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes or simply use a knife to create small squares or rectangles.
- Place the treats onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a small gap between each one.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the treats are golden brown and firm to the touch.
- Remove from the oven and allow the treats to cool completely before serving them to your pet.
