Role Summary:
The Animal Helper role is perfect for individuals who are eager to get a foot in the door of the veterinary field. As an Animal Helper, you will support our clinic’s daily operations, assist with animal care, and learn the ropes of working in a veterinary environment. This role is ideal for students looking to explore a career in veterinary medicine or for anyone passionate about animals and willing to contribute to their well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the care and handling of pets during appointments
• Help maintain a clean and organised clinic environment
• Support veterinarians and technicians with routine tasks
• Participate in the daily feeding, bathing, and exercising of animals
• Assist with administrative duties such as filing, answering phones, and scheduling appointments
• Learn and adhere to safety protocols and procedures for handling animals
• Contribute to the overall positive atmosphere of the clinic by providing excellent customer service and compassionate care

Qualifications:

• Interest in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine or animal care
• Experience with animals (e.g., caring for pets, volunteering at shelters) is a plus but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
